I will tell you about Kea and Kiji. Both of them live in the local area.

First, I will introduce
Kea to you. Kea lives the particular places, in or near the mountains of South Island, in New Zealand. It is a parrot that adapted to life in the mountain. As well as have intelligences to suffer from living in the harsh conditions, they have a curiosity. Attacking people and pecking car are their famous actions.

We can see the bright orange feathers under wings as they spread their wings. However, the other side of wings is blue-green. The Kea's topside is mainly green with some brown, yellow and red. Young Keas have a yellow cere and eye-rings, both of which become grey in adults. Males weigh about 1 kilogram and females 800 grams.

Kea moves often in groups. Adults and their children stay together for a year.

The number of Kea is not estimated exactly. They tend to fly long distance. It makes difficult to count. According to researcher, the estimate of the total population is from 1000 to 5000. Scientists anticipate that their numbers are declining.

Second,
Kiji lives in Japan, except Hokkaido. Male total length is around 80cm and female is 60 cm. The former weight is 800 grams and the latter is 600 grams. Kizi is mainly bright green and topside is blue-green. They have a red eye-rings.
