I will tell you about Kea and Kiji. Both of them live in the local area.
First, I will introduce Kea to you. Kea lives the particular places, in or near the mountains of South Island, in New Zealand. It is a parrot that adapted to life in the mountain. As well as have intelligences to suffer from living in the harsh conditions, they have a curiosity. Attacking people and pecking car are their famous actions.
We can see the bright orange feathers under wings as they spread their wings. However, the other side of wings is blue-green. The Kea's topside is mainly green with some brown, yellow and red. Young Keas have a yellow cere and eye-rings, both of which become grey in adults. Males weigh about 1 kilogram and females 800 grams.
Kea moves often in groups. Adults and their children stay together for a year.
The number of Kea is not estimated exactly. They tend to fly long distance. It makes difficult to count. According to researcher, the estimate of the total population is from 1000 to 5000. Scientists anticipate that their numbers are declining.

Mythology of the Moon
I would like to talk about the mythologies. It means shinwa in Japanese. There are several mythologies about the moon in China.
In Japan, the story a rabbit is living in the moon has been known well, while Chinese people believed a frog live in the moon before the Warring States period. The story is that a beautiful woman had become frog.

In the Kan era, a rabbit appeared. The story is that a rabbit made a medical herb in the moon. In short, there are both frog and rabbit in the moon. It is so interesting that both animals can jump up and down.
From Kan era to Shin era, Chinese people thought a fragrant olive tree is in the moon. This tree is not only big, but also strong. It has a strong recovery power. Therefore, if someone would try to cut down, it cures a wound itself quickly.

Festival of the Dead
The festival of the dead is one of the traditional festivals in Mexico. It is held from October 31 to November 2 every year. Its purpose is to mourn for the dead people. This festival likes the Bon in Japan. It is needless to say, the main part is the dead. Therefore, a city is full of skeletons, or gaikotsu in Japanese. There are skeleton objects or goods in everywhere of the city.
We can see a fancy dress parade on the road. The most popular disguise is to dress a man up as a woman. We can enjoy only watching the parade, but also listening to brass band music. Entire the city become lively. At night, every grave is decorated with many candles and flowers. It does not seem it is graveyard. The people sing and drink there. Their children dress up as Dracula, bones and so on. This custom likes Halloween in America. Finally, we can see fireworks at beside church. It represents the end of the festival.

I would like to introduce two movies to you. I watched them in this summer.
First, the movie title is Kung fu Panda. No actors and actresses appear on the film. It is an animation movie. The main character is a fat panda which he wish to become a kung fu master. One day, he is chosen a fighter of dragon, but he is too big to move quickly. He needs to do training hard. Do his best, but it is comical that he makes a blunder. If you have a free time, I recommend you to watch.
Second, I watched Japanese movie, “Paco and a magic picture book”, which is very funny and moving movie. My favorite actor, Abe Sadao, take part in this movie. He is not very handsome, but he is good at laugh maker. Seldom have I seen he acts strictly. It is Abe Sadao that makes this movie funny. I think he has a nice humor. I’d like to talk a little about the story of the movie.
Main characters are Paco and Onuki. Paco has serious disease that cannot keep memories only a day. Onuki is a strict and unfriendly man, but he have changed since he met her. He is hit by her smile. He tried to be remembered himself by reading a book to her. Finally, surprising end is waiting for you. You cannot see without laughing or crying.
